9 Days (9 nights) Itinerary
Day 1
Fly non-stop on EgyptAir from London Heathrow to Cairo (4 hours 40 minutes). On arrival in the Egyptian capital you will be met by your Tour Manager, a trained Egyptologist, and transferred to the Movenpick Cairo-Pyramids Park Resort at Giza, located close to the Pyramids.

Day 2
A morning visit to the magnificent Museum of Antiquities in the centre of Cairo affords the opportunity to gaze upon the unique treasures of Tutankhamun himself, before a free afternoon to enjoy some of the city’s myriad treasures. You may like to visit the mosques and churches of Old Cairo, including a trip up to the 19th century Mohammed Ali Mosque in the iconic and dominating confines of the Citadel.

Day 3
Surely one of the highlights of your journey, the Great Pyramids of Giza have been amazing visitors for millennia and this morning you will explore these timeless monuments, together with the Sphinx, whose true significance remains a mystery even today. This afternoon there is the option to visit the ancient remains of Memphis and Saqqara.

Day 4
Flying to Luxor (1 hour 5 minutes) and embark on the Mövenpick Radamis II in time for lunch. After lunch cross the Nile to the West Bank and the spectacular mortuary complexes of the Valleys of the Kings and Queens. Returning via the elegant Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari, you pass the Colossi of Memnon en route back to the boat. Return to the Mövenpick Radamis II for a welcome reception and dinner. Overnight in Luxor.

Day 5
Early morning visit the superbly preserved XVIIIth Dynasty Luxor Temple and the astounding Temple at Karnak. Luxor Temple was built over 4000 years ago, and represents the epoch of the once mighty city of Thebes and the worship of the god Amun. Karnak Temple was built over 4,000 years ago, Karnak’s immense Hypostyle Hall alone contains the phenomenal sight of 134 towering columns of intricate stonework. Return to the boat and sail to Edfu via Esna and take a leisurely lunch en-route. This afternoon visit the temple of Horus at Edfu before sailing toward Kom Ombo where you’ll moor for the night. Tonight enjoy a traditional Gallabia party whilst taking dinner.
